SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is sassa status to reach-out to some substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no sassa thoroughly functional office committed to service the area regularly. The company issue made for intervention activities a large influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
